How to set your Mission
Your Mission tells people what you're working toward, not just what industry you're in. People with very different backgrounds often share the same purpose — your Mission helps them find you.
The three parts
- Objective — what should we do? The outcome you're working toward.
- What I bring — what could we do? Your skills, experience, and network.
- What I'm seeking — what will we do? The people, expertise, or resources that would move you forward.
Steps
- Open your profile and find Your mission.
- Write one or two plain sentences for each part. Specific beats impressive.
- Save. Your Mission appears on your profile.
- In rooms, anyone who taps your photo sees your Mission. Hosts see a short "Brings" line when you raise your hand.
- Update it whenever your focus changes.
No rankings
Every Mission looks the same. Nothing is shown on stage, and there are no badges or ranks — it's there to help conversations focus, not to create hierarchy.
Mission recommendations
Once your Mission is saved, Convenabl suggests people under Aligned with your mission — on Home, inside your Communities, and on room recaps under "People you should meet from this room."
- People whose What I bring matches your What I'm seeking come first, then people who need what you bring, then people with a similar Objective. They often work in different industries.
- Each suggestion shows a plain reason, so you always know why someone appears.
- Tap Introduce me to see a drafted note based on both Missions. Edit anything; nothing sends until you tap Send, and they choose whether to say yes.
- Only Missions members have filled in are used. Clearer Missions lead to better suggestions.
