Privacy Policy

From LinkedIn when you sign in: your name, profile photo, headline, email address, profile link and LinkedIn account identifier. We do not import your LinkedIn connections or post to LinkedIn.

Information you provide: your @handle, bio, company, role, city, interests, Conversation Focus prompts, uploaded photos and Community images, chat messages, pinned links, conversation requests, reports and support messages.

Activity: rooms you host, join or schedule; when you're on stage, raise your hand or react; Communities you join; people you follow or block; and notification preferences.

Recordings and transcripts: only when a host turns on recording, as described below.

Payments: if you subscribe to Premium, Stripe processes your payment. We receive your subscription status and limited billing details, never your full card number.

Device and technical data: browser and device type, IP address, connection quality, push-notification tokens, and error logs needed to keep the Service working and secure.

Live audio is transmitted in real time to the people in the room and is not stored by Convenabl unless a host has turned on recording. When recording is off, nothing about what was said is kept.

A Premium host can record a room. A visible notice appears and you must acknowledge it before speaking. Recordings are stored privately and are only reachable through short-lived links issued to people allowed to see them. AI transcripts and summaries are produced only for public rooms, only from a completed recording, and only when the host asks. A recap stays private to the host until the host publishes it. Deleting a recording deletes its transcript and summary too. We do not use your recordings to train AI models.

• To provide the Service: run rooms, Communities, chat, profiles and discovery.
• To send the notifications and transactional emails you've chosen.
• To process Premium subscriptions.
• To keep Convenabl safe: investigate reports, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To understand and improve the Service using aggregated analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations.

You choose who can see your profile in Settings. The choice is enforced by our database.

• Public — anyone, including people who aren't signed in, can see your name, handle, photo, headline, bio, location and LinkedIn link.
• Members only — the same information, visible only to signed-in members.
• Private — you are not returned by search, discovery or public pages. People in a room with you still see your name and photo, because conversations can't work with anonymous participants.

Your LinkedIn account identifier and any moderation notes about your account are never visible to other members.

We share information only as follows:

• With other members, according to your visibility settings and the rooms and Communities you take part in.
• With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: hosting and database infrastructure, real-time audio delivery (LiveKit), payments (Stripe), email delivery, AI transcription and summarisation, and GIF search (KLIPY).
• For legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect people, our members or Convenabl.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Room analytics shown to hosts are aggregate, and small groups are not broken down, so individuals can't be singled out. We don't track you across other websites.

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer for legal, safety, fraud-prevention or billing reasons. Hosts can delete their recordings at any time.

We use encryption in transit, access controls enforced at the database level, and short-lived access links for recordings. No system is perfectly secure; please tell us at support@convenabl.com if you discover a vulnerability.

You can edit or clear profile fields, change visibility, block people, and control notifications in the app at any time. Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Email support@convenabl.com to make a request; we'll respond within the time the law requires and won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a safe service, your consent (for example, push notifications), and legal obligations.

Convenabl is operated from the United States and our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers.

Convenabl is only for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger; if we learn we have, we delete it.

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app or by email and ask you to review it.
