How to start a Community
Communities are persistent professional spaces for ongoing conversation. They are intentionally simpler than Slack or Discord: a stream, replies, mentions, and community rooms.
Steps
- Go to Communities and tap Create Community.
- Choose a name, description, and photo header that reflects the group.
- Set the community to public (discoverable) or private (invite or member-request only).
- Owners and admins can pin messages, moderate posts, and start rooms under the community.
- Members can post messages, reply, mention others, share files, photos, and GIFs, and react.
- Community creators have limits: 2 communities for free users, 5 for Premium.
Community rooms and recordings
Owners and admins can open public or member-only audio rooms under a community. If the community creator has Premium, completed recordings from those rooms can be accessed inside the community.
